I have been in the recruitment industry for over seven years. In those years, something was abundantly clear: there is a clear gap between what candidates provide and what recruiters and hiring managers are looking for. Countless memorable interviews and forgettable resumes/applications have led me to this conclusion. Further digging showed viable resources for job seekers are very limited.

 

With that in mind, Happy Hour with Manny was born. I will be the "Hitch" equivalent to job seekers. Much like Hitch helped genuinely nice men be "seen" by their heart's desire, I will help our readers (candidates) be seen by great companies. Every week I will have posts, videos, and additional content with valuable hints, tips, and advice to help you land your dream job, all from the comfort of endless barstools across America as I interview hiring managers, entrepreneurs, and job seekers.

A little about me: I started my career in recruitment, on the administrative end, recruiting for healthcare professionals for a healthcare system based out of the east coast. From that point on, I recruited for multiple industries (IT, Operations, HR, Sales, Education). Most recently, I was the youngest senior-level manager for a nationwide company that was a labor and labor management provider for many Fortune 500 companies. My team and I hired over 2000 people every year. My career has brought me extensive insight on the candidate and employer experience.
